Termite Inspection, Fumigation & Localized Treatment Services
Branch 3 State-Licensed Eradication for Drywood and Subterranean Termites
How we handle termites
Termites do their damage out of sight, so every job starts with an inspection. You’ll hear it called a WDO inspection (WDO means wood-destroying organism). It’s the same thing as a termite inspection.
The inspection is visual. We look for termites, droppings, mud tubes, damaged wood and water stains, and we write down what we find.
Termites we treat
Limited and full inspections
If you call about something you’ve noticed, we’ll usually do a limited inspection of that area. Home sales need a full inspection with a complete report, which we handle for buyers, sellers and agents.
Escrow termite inspectionsTreatment options
What we recommend depends on the type of termite and how far the infestation has spread.
Fumigation
Tenting the whole structure. Usually the right call when drywood termites are spread through the house.
Heat treatment
Heating the affected area to a temperature termites can’t survive.
Localized treatment
Borate and other treatments applied right where the termites are, when the infestation is limited to an area we can reach.
What’s in your report
- What we found, including the termite species or other wood-destroying organism, such as fungus or dry rot
- A structural diagram showing where we found it
- Our recommendations to correct it
- An itemized estimate for treatment and any repairs
Preventative recommendations are available if you ask for them. Estimates cover what we can see. If more damage turns up once the wood is opened, state rules require us to issue a supplemental report with the added cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I have drywood termites or subterranean termites?
Drywood termites live inside wood and produce distinctive hexagonal fecal pellets. Subterranean termites require soil moisture and build mud tubes along concrete slabs.
Do I need to tent my house?
It depends on what the inspection finds. Drywood termites spread through the house usually call for fumigation. Smaller infestations in areas we can reach can often be handled with a localized treatment. We’ll recommend what fits your home.
Is a WDO inspection the same as a termite inspection?
Yes. WDO stands for wood-destroying organism, which covers termites as well as wood-boring beetles and fungus such as dry rot.
Do you open walls or use special equipment?
No. Our inspections are visual. If we see something like a water stain, we note it in the report.
